lyrics
The boy starts to think, ‘maybe I’m just a waste of breath?’
That’s what the mind resorts to when life’s only purpose becomes trying to avoid death
The girl thinks, ‘to breathe is to fear, so now I’m scared to breathe’
And the rubble on the streets seem as natural as the tears on cheeks
And the screams
Me and father and mum can’t run quick enough to safety
Another country
A Mecca in the West
Where the tabloid press call us pests
I think they want me dead
Did I fail some kind of unspoken test?
Actually, you know what, fuck it – don’t waste your breath.

I feel like I could have written this song while with my ex. It is so bitingly truthful, holding back none of the bitter reality of feelings that a toxic relationship establishes. The build up of vocalization is spitting, heartwrenching and really brings the lyrics to their fullest emotional potential.
Can’t describe how much I love the juxtaposition of extremes recurring throughout this album, both lyrically and thematically. izze32
Across their second full-length, the London post-punks offer up thrumming motoriks, industrial tones, and sullen sing-a-longs in abundance. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 17, 2024
The soaring arcs of post-rock, the punchy rhythms of post-hardcore, and the jagged lines of post-punk all join on the latest from Aversions. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2023
Noisy Siberian post-punk with mathcore's sense of inventive tempo and vocals that nearly howl with urgent insistence. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 27, 2023
